Despite the progress on site I decided to stop posting images, as the completion date is now near. I think it is time to put a veil over the museum and hopefully take it off in March 2012, posting the first images of the Museum completed. Thank you for following this blog.
Hello Andrea, I just wanted to say that the new Enzo Ferrari Museum is absolutely gorgeous! I was amongst the museum's first visitors on Saturday and loved the architecture in particular. Congratulations on a job well done!
Andrea Morgante (Milan, 1972) has worked in Future Systems for nearly 8 years, most of this time working closely alongside Jan Kaplicky. In 2006 Andrea becomes Associate Director of Future Systems.
In 2004 Future Systems wins the competition to design a new Museum dedicated to Enzo Ferrari in Modena. Andrea, since this victory, has led the design team from concept design to detailed design stage, submitted in 2007. Following Jan’s untimely passing in early 2009 Fondazione Enzo Ferrari appointed Andrea directly to oversee the construction on site and to complete the design of the interiors for both museums. The completion of this project will be in honor of Jan’s memory and it’s due to open to the public in December 2011.
